I don't know of anyone as every time I needed to do that I borrowed someone's trailer and pickup myself but if you need any logistical help at all in the Kansas City area; a place to stop off for a few days, park the thing for a few days, or whatever, let me know.

trailer

The cheapest way would probably to get it yourself , but it would be nice if you had a buddy with a trailer with a winch. I have a friend who has one for his rock crawler buggy. Could try posting ad in your local community to see if someone will rent you their trailer reasonably cheap. I rented one from a rental place a few years ago to move my car with a rental truck to move me 3500 miles. The trailer was about $500 so might not be feasable for you.

I tried to find a carrier when I bought my 48 Olds in Kanas. Any way I tried to package it the cost was to high. Finally flew to Kansas rented a U-Haul truck and trailer one way. With plane fair and all it cost me about $1400.00 over 3500 miles. I figue yours would be about half that or less

Non-ops are always a pain, lucky the old guy was a wild man and drove my Vista the few miles to where the transporter could get it, brakes were non-existant but the e-brake worked and the driver was cool.
That's a tough one, no way to strip it there and then junk the hulk? Flatbed it to a storage unit or yard temporarily to buy time? Cheaper than hauling the whole car back.

Place an add on Uship and be patient. Its like a reverse auction kind of like price line used to be. Place your target price a little bit unrealistic and you will be supprised at how close you might get. I bought a large metal brake weighing 1600lbs out of PA. Called around and was quoted $900-1200. Placed an add on uship and the first few bids were automated responces from commercial shipping companies around the $1000.00 range waited a few days and small shippers started bidding. A guy with a 2 car flat bed picked it up for me and brought it to Dallas TX for $370.00

1) great bend ain't in the boonies, it may be in the sticks, but hardly in the boonies.
2) how quick do you need it? I can pick-up and deliver, but it would be memorial weekend when you got it.
3) what do you want to spend and I'll tell you if I'm willing to do it. (my quote would be 1,100.10) . The .10 is because I hate hauling through Ohio. Your HiPo, are on their game.

Too bad you weren't looking to move that pup 3 weeks ago. I was right there.

Smile Great stuff

Congrats on getting it home , the headaches will pass. Mine came from a dry praire climate and have been able to take off nuts and bolts with only wrenches. The only thing I had to heat up was one manifold bolt but that is understandable. have fun with it and good luck.
