Another newbie here. :)

I've been poking around this site for a bit now and decided I should finally say hello. I've seen some very nice cars here and congrats to those who own them. Looking at them brings me back to the days of my youth when I'd drool over them in the show rooms. I feel a little out of place with my not-so-classic '95 Ninety-Eight that I just got, but I guess a couple more decades will get me there. Of course by that time I'll probably be told I'm too old to drive it.

This site is great for drooling but good for any advice you might need as well. I only got the one and she is in drydock getting some engine detail. http://www.flickr.com/photos/wolfman98/ I hope to get her ready for cruising this summer.

Welcome to our site. We have had discussions about "what is classic?" for the forum purposes and the answer is really, any Oldsmobile. They are all classics.

Ha ha!! Good one! I guess I have 40 some years to wait then. By that time I probably won't even remember where the car is parked anyway.

Ahh...rag tops. I love 'em. I had a Spitfire when I met my wife 30 years ago. Last year we bought another convertible (mid-life crisis thing - mine )only a Sebring this time. Looking forward to seeing some pics of your car when it's done.

Thanks for the welcome. My daughter has a Sheltie and his name is Pogo and somehow he got the nick name of pogster.

But yeah, a 95 is better than none. I've had it about a month. It's pretty much like new at 37K miles (60K km). The only thing that doesn't make it 100% complete is the little 'cup' that holds the garage door opener in the overhead console. Maybe I can find one in a JY. I doubt if it can be ordered from GM.

Pogo

Pogo ain't from Canada, He's from Gawga. The Okefenokee Swamp to be more exact.

I've had a picture on my desk for over 35 years with his famous quote.
"We have met the enemy, and he is us."

Jamsbo, your giving your age away with that one. Best political satire ever went over most peoples heads.

The strip is vaguely familiar like maybe I read it when I was a kid. I'm 54. Was it published back in the early 60s?
