1947 Olds stock radio removal.

I started to remove the stock radio from my 47 oldsmobile. I removed the power connection; the anetenna; knobs; and support brackets. Came loose but I could not get it pass the heater door. I did not want to remove the heater, so thought I would ask what your experiences would be.
Thanks 47 Coupe.

I think you will have to remove the heater door. That radio is big. My '46 had radio delete but I have been under the dash and have seen the radios for our model/year cars. You're going to have a hard time removing it without clearing out some space first.

Thank you.

Thank you for the information. For the room that the car has, very little is in the behind the dash area. Thank you again.

I agree, if there is anything I could do, a photo of my under-dash area or something, let me know.
