Glove Box Light
Its a 69 cutlass 4-door.
hey everyone, i was just wondering if anybody knew where the glove box light hooked up to. my cutlass didn't originally come with one i think, but i got one with my new glove box door, and was wondering where it plugged into behind the dash. the wire from the light is orange and has a male connector on the end, and i found a gray wire with the female end for it in ample space to connect them together, is that the wire it goes to ? and if not, where is it ? thanks - Jeremiah Last edited by The_Jeremiah : 09-17-2007 at 04:06 PM. on my 68, there is a factory tap off of the courtesy light harness (the harness that runs in between the pin switches in the doors) that is what mine is plugged into. The tap sits directly under the glovebox on my 68, pull your harness out, it might be there on yours too.
Grey wires are for dash lights orange is what you are looking for if you tie it into the grey, your glove box light will only work when you have your headlight switch turned on. hth Mike |
