aftermarket radio wiring to 69 cutlass

hey all, so im currently tryin to install an aftermarket cd player in my 69 cutlass. ive got the power, and ground hookups all taken care of so the player lights up and works when the cars on. only problem is theres no sound. my car has the single speaker in the dash, with a black ground and a blue wire coming out of it. so i attached all four of the positve speaker wires from the radio (front left and right, rear l+r) to the blue wire out of the speaker. i then attached all the corresponding neg radio wires plus the ground to the black ground coming from the radio. but no sound at all. any suggestions? also when i open the front door there is a loud buzzing noise that only goes on and off when the button in the jam activating the overhead light is depressed. grateful for any tips you can give.
