1955 88 brake lights

I bypassed the brake light switch and still no brake lights. fuse is good and signals both work. Any suggestions?? I'm getting 12v to the switch. I'm wondering if it is in the turn signakl switch or related wiring. thanks

Thanks, Larry
New problem, tho. Some neandrathal broke bolts off in both the holes that the steering wheel puller attaches to. Hope I can get 'em with an easy out.
