68 wiper switch wiring help

I have a 68 with concealed wipers. The bubba before me wired a wierd electric washer system to the car. I am trying to convert back to original style, but can't figure wiring to switch. I got a new switch with three prongs. The connector to the switch has three slots that line up, but only two wires in the slots, one on each far end. The part of connector that have two wire slots together only has one. They line up with the switch outer prongs. I found another wire with a separate connector that seems to be the right color according the the manual, but how does it hook up to the switch, if it is the right wire? Can someone let me know how to wire the switch correctly?
