Turn signal switch

Big problem friends! The turn signal switch in our F-85 1963 is broken. It took me wheeks to find out there is no replacement part on the market.
All i could find is a Delco Remy,Part-Number 1993577.Not shure if it fits our car.Has anybody got a part list to find out if that one is the right switch or to get me the original Part-Number?

Hopefull,Claudia&Martin

1993577 will not work on your F85. Parts book lists it as 1963 except tilt wheel or F85.

You need group 2.895 p/n 579500, switch, circuit, 1961-63 F85. That number is also listed for 1964 all except F85, tilt wheel or cornering lamps, so you could get a used one from a 1964 full-size car if needed.

If the problem is the actuator in the steering column- 2.895 p/n 1995841, actuator, 1961-63 F85. The switch actuator rod is 2.895, 1950625, rod, switch actuator, 1961-63 F85.

If the steering column pieces are the problem, you might come out cheaper getting a complete used steering column with good turn signal components, if parts have to ship from US to Germany.

Good luck. The European guys always have my respect for owning and restoring an American car over there.
