voltage regulator/Delco Remy

Polarizing my generator. I need to place a jumper wire between the GEN and BAT leads on the voltage regulator. I have no markings on the regulator. Looking at the regulator I have 3 leads(post). The first one (Red) goes to battery. Second lead (middle post) looks like same wire that goes to the generator (wire goes into wire harness). Third post not sure where this goes.

To make sure, Is post 1 the BAT and the 2nd post GEN?

Never owned a car with a generator, and discovered this proccess by chance.

Thanks,
And1stp

Thanks for the reply Ozone,
Do you mean its marked inside the cover? The wires from left to right as the regulator sits on the inner fender well are Red, light purple and black(being the smaller guage wire of the other two).
