66 convert deal or no deal?

I am new to these forums and I currently have an 84 olds cutlass but I have found a 66 delta 88 convertible for sale for $1200.The car is in deacent shape w/no rust needs a top and front and rear bumpers. My question is,how hard are parts for these to find and is this a good deal? The car runs good and has 102k on the odo

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The price is good if the car isnt rotted....Ya need to check the frame especially driver's side just where it turns after the engine cradle and along to the driver's door.....a conv. uses a boxed frame and it is prone to rot because water, dirt, road salt gets trapped there. Parts are not that hard to get....I have 2 1966 Delta Converts.

I would buy it. I turned down a '68 Delmont when I was looking for a console for a project. It just sat in front of a service shop for about three years. I noticed it had bucket seats and a console and I wanted the console the owner said no-go but he would sell the complete car for about $1500 as I recall. I didn't but wish I had bought it now.... too bad.

lets look at this from a different point of view. what can you buy nowadays for 1200. answer.. not much. its a no brainer. even if it was half rotted, it would still be a great deal.
