Wiper arm linkage
My right wiper gets tangled up with my left. I think the arm might be bent. What can I do? Can I just buy the one arm or would I have to find a whole set up.
How can I remove the arm itself until I can find a new one? Thanks |

I did get the arm off and it seems the splines are worn as if they were used when still frozen to the car or under heavy (snow) load. I look around on the net but can't seem to find any. I'll try a parts store...other than NAPA.

If you strike out on a new one let us know what year your car is. Someone is bound to have a parts car or extras in their garage.

Okay. Thanks. It is for a 1984 Delta 88 Royale four door.

Try eBay or a junk yard that has older cars. Something like that you can get off any full size GM from the same years.
How did you bend it? I have an 85 Delta and would like to avoid this if I can ![]()

I didn't bend it. I think the splines wore down on the famale section that goes over the male section from the wiper arm. That in turn fouls up with the left wiper.
I'll try a junk yard, but the last time I tried the ones around here they didn't seem to happy about searching for such a dinky item. |

Do you have a "U-Pull-It" around you?
