3 rear ends....$200 bucks. Buy them?

----AD----"I have for sale the following rear axles open axle from a 1971 BUICK SKYLARK,open axle from a 1966 PONTIAC CATALINA drum to drum,3:08 10 bolt from a 1973 OLDS 88, and a 3:08 POSI 10 bolt axle from a 1977 GRAND PRIX." ----AD----

This guy is about 25 miles away from me and 200 bucks takes it all.
Will any of these bolt right onto my 80-85 b bodies?
Or will the tires stick out 5'' past the wells

If they will, I'll get these and worry about a drive shaft after I get the th400 in.
I already broke my 2.41 ring and pinion with my 307. (I think the pinion had about 6 teeth left)
I don't even want to know what will happen to my rear end when I drop the 455 in.
Cleaning all the "Glitter" out of the axle tubes for 2 days wasn't much fun.

retro fit

The 1977 is the one. should bolt right in. The only trouble is the axles. the bolt [pattern will be 5 on 4 3/4 grand prix....you probably have 5 on 5" for your 88. call me I will help you understand. I think I might even have the axles to swap out for you also... Jim 216 464 2313 x240 10 -5 weekdays est. Good luck. Jim

PS let me know about the rest I might be interested in them. Could save you somemore money too. Jim

Well my friend I believe we are too late.
I can't find the ad on Craigslist anymore, and of course I didn't bother to write it down. He hasn't relisted in the last 2 weeks so they're probably gone.

rearend

I have a real good police posi disc brake rear here 450.00 for it. I think it is 3.08. I can change the ration but you will have to pay to get that done. Jim
