Original Anti-Spin

Does anyone know who supplied original anti-spin units for GM 10 bolt units?
I found an old Eaton cone style that seems correct for my '71 open rear end, but wonder if it's correct? Can these be rebuilt, or is there something better to update it with?

posi anti slip limited slip units

The 1971 1972 rears are 8.5 corporate rears that are still used today in the 1./2 pick-up trucks and suv. NOT exact axle spline but posi units will fit with some conversion bearings and aftermarket axles.

IN 1971 Auburn/borg warner did make posi units for the GM line Along with the trac lock posi units which were clutch type LIKE and EAton but used a 's' type preload spring. The trac lock was used last in the 1987 GN and 442 g-body cars.
GM has lost support for these units and parts are getting harder to find NEW.

Your Auburn Cone type unit can be rebuilt/ reconditioned once if you are Cutting hte cones and reshimming the spider gears.

We offer rebuilding original Muscle car posi unit for guys that NEED that original unit for all out resto restore. We do a lot of Pontiac super duty 4 pinion auburn posi unit reconditioning.

Pictured are the 2 factory units that were offered for the 8.5 10 bolt 1971 1972 rear.
