rear window trim

I have discovered a leak from the rear window and would like to know if their is a easy way to get off the trim without messing it up, or should I just take it somewhere to have it fixed?
Thanks

What year and model car is this?

I had a water leak on both sides of the back window (bottom left and right) of my 72 Cutlass. If you're noticing water damage on the parcel shelf, you've probably just got a bad seal. Take it to a glass shop. They can get the stainless off without damaging it and put in a new seal kit and pop the trim back on without damage. They have the tools to do the job.

While it's off you should hang around the shop and ask them to see whether there's rust under the trim. You could have a bigger problem than you know. I caught mine in time to avoid a lot of bodywork.

Good luck.

Its a 1977 cutlass S two door, I just recently noticed water in the trunk when I washed it, checked into it and found it was coming from the rear window on the drivers side.
