Hood Louver mounting braket

I own a 71 cutlass with hood louvers. The louvers are loose and I would like to tighten. I've been told there is a mounting bracket I may be missing. Can anyone provide some info on how to properly mount the louvers? Can I purchase mounting brakets and hardware from any specific outlet? Thanks. Larry.

Let me know if you need brackets. I have a hood with them I was getting rid of. They should be on it, if you need them.

Just shoot me an offer, with shipping included, as long as you live in the lower 48 states.

If your car has the sound blanket under the hood, remove it and take a look. The hood louvers are only held in place with speed nuts. Your problem could be as simple as tightening them or just replacing them. On the other hand, if the mounting pins are broken, you could replace the louver, or just epoxy it in place.

Just looked at the date on this thread. Did you and crazy'boutOlds get this resolved? And, was it the bracket, or were the speed nuts just loose?

Actually, there is a "Z" shaped bracket that clamps one side of the louver to the hood shell using the speed nuts. If these are missing, it will not be possible to properly tighten the louvers.
