Expect a bunch a questions from me.

Anything you guys can tell me from just the pictures? I know i need to get a 72 bumper it has a 70 now.

Sorry, I haven't been on the site until just now. I try to welcome everyone as soon as I can. There have been a lot of posts this weekend so I am sure yours just got burried and missed. Doesn't look like primer, I thought it was a satin purple paint job but probably just the color in the photo is off. No, primer shouldn't hurt it. There are a few guys on here that are painters and may be able to give you some more input on that though. And I wouldn't worry about the '70 bumper, looks good to me.

I have seen this car in my driveway many times in the past 25 years. Was it you or one of my own projects? Welcome!

Looks like a very solid start on a project. I wish mine started out looking that nice. Good luck and feel free to ask away.

Maybe it's just my computer screen, but I kinda dig flat black primer look...It's very Mad Max. Heck...get some nice tires, a cool looking set of rims then and run with the flat black paint job on it. That thing would look pretty post-apocalyptic mean. HA!

BTW; I like the 70' rear bumper. Looks much better on that body style than the 72' honey comb lenses.

I personaly like the color, and i definently like the rear bumper. I myself joined not too long ago with a ton of questions on my recently aquired 69 4-door. Its been fun, i have rebuilt the engine already, its about to go in for paint, and ill start on the interior sooner or later. I love the car, good luck with it. Im sure you will find lots of useful info with our little online family.

Welcome aboard!
Your 72 does have lots of potential. I think a good cleaning will bring out a lot in her... (Scotchbrite may work wonders on those inner plastic fenders.)
Some seat repairs, new carpet and paint and you are on your way! The black does look nice... You got the hood louvers, too - cool...

I would keep that 1970 bumper...
If you do not want it, I will even-trade you my good 72 bumper and tail lights for yours! (Serious offer, BTW...)

See you around and have fun with your new project!!
