69 cutalss 455 rocket
hell0 i need help knowing waht i have
i bought a 69 cutlass supreme with a 455 rocket and noone seems to know what i have here it is a canadian made car and come factory with the engine in it was it special order or was it a special addition does anyone know what i have thanks |

the 455 engine was the optional engine for the Cutlass that year but other than that the Supreme was a standard model for the Cutlass. Nothing really special to a collector but I would keep the 455 they are torque monsters..

From what I understand, Olds Cutlass 455 was not an option for 69. The only big block was the 400 which was an option for the 442. Most Cutlass owners did not want to spend the extra money on the big block option. The Cutlass Supreme was not a model line until 72. In 69, Cutlass S was the model line.
I would check the vin # to see if they are identical. More than likely that engine is not original. The 455 motor was available stock in the Delta 88. Ron |
