chance at a nice clean 4 door 85 cutty royale, cheap

a friend of mine recently blew up the 3.8L buick engine in his 85 cutty royale 4 door

it drove like new and the interior and exterior are mint shape, its medium gray in color inside and out and its all stock original untouched even down to the wire wheel covers and all

old grandpa type car

can get it for like 200 bucks

is it worth it

or should we haul it to the shredder after pulling parts like the column, header panel, tranny, power door parts, rear panel, trunk deck, etc ?

bumpers ?

anything else ?

what engine can go in it without any exhaust work ?

other than the 3.8L ?

hate to waste such a clean shape nice rear wheel drive G body

i dunno what to do hmmmm

thanks

exhaust pipes are in the same location for the manifolds between the v6 and v8 engines ?

i cant find a BOP or caddy v8 engine around here though, cant find a 3.8 either

stuff is rare if its made of steel

all been taken to the shredder

its a huge problem

i checked out the frame today and OMG its totally solid clean nice,

i tape measured the wheel base and got 110"

i read that they are supposed to be 108 ?

all G body 78-up ?

i cant make up my mind if its worth 200 in any way shape form

the interior is all mint too, clean sharp

but i dont really want to do a major engine conversion if i was even able to find an engine for it

it has a th250 or th200 in it, its not OD

i do have a th350-C with the 10 bolt bellhousing if i needed to so that any engine would bolt in, but its 9" tail unfortunately(from an '81 C-10 pickup that had the 5.7L oldsmobile diesel)

did the 3.8L buick 3 speed autos have the 10 bolt housings ?

what to do...

hmmm

hate to waste even the frame

dilemma..

200 firm he said

thanks

I am interested in the car if you don't want it.
It will save me the trouble of switching frame mounts in one of mine.
Where in IL are you located?
