My son just bought a 71 Cutlass. The guy we got it from through a set of rims on it and they just don't fit. The off set is wrong and it rubs. Can someone help me with the right off set for a 20" rear and 18" front and how wide can we go for tires and wheels. Thanks.
Can anyone help?

It all depends on what you want to spend. You could go origional, look at sites like "Year One", but you will spend a few hundred per rim (before rubber) for the origional look. I converted my origional front drum brakes to disc and had to get new rims, so I went with the solid aluminum look from Summit Racing for $75 per rim (American Racing rims) and had my local tire guy figure out how big I could go with the rubber. By beefing up the springs to avoid rubbing isuues, I was able to put 275/60/15 on the back and 235/60/15 on the front. It gave it that real muscle car look. Like I said, it all depends on the lokk you want. Good luck.
