Hi. Welcome to the forum. I believe the 231 in your Olds IS a buick engine. According to my book, the 231's were built by the Buick Motor Division of GM. The motors went out with a bang in the 87 Grand Nationals. I've seen lots for them, From 4bbl intakes, to headers. Check out the parts for sale section on this site. The best of luck with your ride. Jim.

Im a newb also.. swapping my Buick 231 for a olds 307, if you want more power i would suggest an engine swap. You can basically put any engine in your car. An olds 307, 330, 350, 400, 425, 455. All will fit. A chevy 305, 350...etc will also physically fit, as well as the buick v6.... Just make sure you have the right engine mounts for whatever your trying to fit in. Any olds v8 can use the 307 mounts. Also you likely have a crappy 200c transmission in that thing if it came original with a v6. If your gonna put a powerhouse behind it, you might want to change that too.

Dread, I am not so sure that the 307 mountst will fit on all the Olds Rockets. Also, the buick tranny will not bolt up to an Olds Rocket. How did your swap with the 307 go? Did you run into any troubles?
