87 Cutlass Ciera problem
It started out every once in a while, its now getting more frequent.
When coming to a stop, especialy leaving the interstate, the transmission does not release, it's like the converter isn't releasing, the car bucks and stalls. If I start it and rev it in neutral for a minute it releases and lets me put it in drive and go. If I DO NOT rev it in neutral it stays locked and stalls the car out as soon as I put it into gear, it'll do that a few times untill it releases. Any ideas? |

Torque convertor clutch solenoid (TCC). Unplug it, and you'll be fine. It's the square plug that goes into the trans. my 86 Ciera and 84 Omega had the same problem.
