68 Cutlass S Convertible Questions
Hi,
I am looking to buy a 1968 Cutlass S convertible. I am wanting to know of any trouble spots I should be looking for. Any help you can give me would be great! Any other pointers would be great! Thank you! Tony |

Basicly really look it over and under for rust. Check the frame rails really good especially in front/above/and behind the rear wheels. Fender well lips/ottom of fenders and wheel wells are another place prone to rust. Rust is the worst! After checking rust, make sure the top's mechanics work properly, is the trim all there? Engine/trans/rear-end/brakes/carpet/convertible top can all be replaced or fix fairly easy but rust is a costly killer and finding 68 Cutlass conv. parts is a bit hard. Nice looking cars. 68 & 69 are both nice years. Good luck, Ken
