P.S. my car is an 87 cutlass supreme brougham came with the 307 cid

The 350 oldsmobile and the 307 oldsmobile both have the BOP bell housing pattern so your trans should bolt right up. also i think some of the transmissions around that year had the BOP and GM pattern to bolt up to olds, buick, pontiac, cadillac and also chevrolet

Like coppertop said the engine and trans will bolt right up. The outside measurements and bolt patterns are the same for most of the Olds small blocks. It sounds like your shop teacher needs to be the student this time!
