Heater box question

Is the heater box on a 68 with air different then on a non-air car. I have purchased two heater boxes and neither one will fit. One was from a 69 and the other is from a 71. Thanks in advance.

A/C and non-A/C boxes are completely different. The non-A/C is metal, the A/C is fiberglass and much larger. They also do not bolt up the same, so it is not easy to swap one for the other.

Thanks Joe. You left out one thing, The box with air is a lot harder to find!

If you strike out up in the Willamette Valley let me know. I should have a couple. I'm pretty sure the 1968-72 A-bodies will all interchange if that helps. Have you posted a parts wanted ad yet? I believe there's 3 or 4 other members in the Portland area. John
