Tricks from the Masters
I have two issues regarding my 65 Cutlass.
First, I need to remove the clock from the dash (without removing the dash). I can reach in, but I can't see the way it mounts. Any suggestions or directions from those who have been there? (The body manual is not detailed)
Second, the brake light socket and bulb set-up seems wrong. The bulb sits in the socket with a removable metal clip holding the bulb in contact with the circuit. The socket then mounts from beneath in the tail light assembly and is held in by the pressure of the removable metal clip. Bouncing tends to pull the removable metal clip out of contact with the rest of the circuit in the socket. The result is no turn signal or brake light. It just seems like physics is working against this set-up. Any suggestions or ideas on how to keep the clip in contact with the circuit?
