What year?

Saw this Cutlass yesterday out in front of a salvage yard. I think they just got it in. Any idea what year? It has the original 1974 plates and a 1983 inspection sticker. VERY VERY unmolested....

Going today to get another look. Green and green with a white top. All chrome was there, no dents, paint looks original. Apparently parked inside since 1983.

Sure? I'm not the best at these guessing games, but the grill area looks more '71 to me. But don't put your money on *me*.

Looks like it needs a good home, help out the homeless, Rev! (I *know* you'll be looking underneath it! )

And the winner is.......ent72olds.

1970, parked and garage kept since 1983.

Owner had no family, just 6 first cousins. One had the car towed by salvage yard just to get it out of bad neighborhood it was in. He is getting towed to his home next week.
Lawyer and judge are working on succession. The guy that has it paid for the funeral, other cousins would not help out. Now that they think he may have had a few things to sell they all want a part. He said it would be at least 1-2 months before he could have a title and sell.

Thge chrome on the side looks to be 1970 since it is wider. The grille is really hard to see. And it is a convertible. Awesome find. Go get this one.

It's a '70, chrome eyebrow moldings, rectangular parking lights are hard to see and that hood does sort of look like it has twin bulges like '71-2 in the pic.

What good news!
That car was in too good a shape to be in a salvage yard!!

Good advice!

It's a 70. The 71/72 grilles are taller than the headlight doors and the leading edge of the hood is "notched" to accommodate them. That's why the 1970 W-25 hood won't fit 71/72 (and vice versa).
