When I bought my 71 cutlass the whole grille was missing. I am talking about everything. I just had a bumper and the core support. Well I have pieced together what I thought was a complete setup only to find I may be missing a piece.

When you put the stone shield together with the grilles there are four holes along the bottom of the assembly that seem to want to connect to some sort of support structure. But I don't have anything there to support the grille.

Am I missing a piece? Or are this holes just there to bolt the grilles to the stone shield and the bottom is unsupported?

 

not sure or not henry it might be like my 67 with a lower valance that fills the hole between the bumper and core support you might find a picture from a car on ebay and see if it is there
