Pics of 65 Cutlass convertible
I'm going to try Flickr for photos. I bought from the third owner. I am told that the original owner was an older woman who bought in Pa. and moved to south Florida. It stayed in Florida for 35 years before the second owner moved it back to Pa. in 2000. Third owner bought in 2000 and did a great job of restoration. I have already been offered more than I paid by the guy who did the appraisal. Here is a list of what has been done to date.
Paint (2006; body, engine compartment, dash, spatter paint trunk), 14" redlines with 2000 miles on them, Brakes (new pads, drums, new master cyl, new booster, new stainless lines), new radiator, all new hoses, fuel pump, water pump, washer pump, harmonic balancer, flowmaster dual exhaust, rechromed rear bumper, rechromed taillight frames, replaced weather stripping, replaced all engine gaskets and hoses, Quadra-Jet carb rebuild kit, rear plastic window replaced, detailed engine and engine compartment right down to date correct spark plug wires, new windshield, new interior door handles, arm rest bases and sill plates, new rear ashtrays and courtesy lights, new shocks and springs all around. The front bumper still has a decal from the W. Palm Yatch Club. http://www.flickr.com/photos/kosinlaw/ |

I gotta say, I bought through a third party, but the previous owner did a hell of a job. You can tell he really cared and had some skills. Here's an anonymous shout out to BKM.

The guy who picked it up offered me $1G more than I paid. That's a good selling point to my wife.

It's not about the money man. Can you replace the car with another as nice for only a grand more is the question right?
