Tubular control arms

Anyone have any experience with this seller and these parts? Tubular UCA/LCA setup, with greasable bushings. I see other manufacturer parts going for 3xs as much and more. I'm just curious if these are pure garbage.

Just as a side note, I had my originals blasted and powdercoated. I'm having trouble installing the balljoints in the upper control arms and started thinking about the cost to have ball joints and bushings installed, versus going tubular.

All opinions are welcome.

Sorry folks...forgot to add the link. http://www.ebay.com/itm/380405464587...WAX:IT&vxp=mtr

I guess that's what I get for posting late.

Tubular control arms

I could not tell what vendor you were referring to.

I have bought the tubular rear adjustable uppers and lowers from UMI Performance and have been happy with them. Their price point was good and were very helpful and knowledgable on the phone. I think they used to be on eBay and also had their own website.

My car is light street use only so others with heavier duty needs may chime in.

I got tubular uppers and lowers for the front from KMJ...don't know which ones you are looking at, but these seem to be pretty good quality, althoughI believe they are Chinese. The repop factory style probably are Chinese also. I bought adjustable rear uppers from PMT and they are USA made, and quality is second to none.....

Thanks for all the replies guys. I added the link to the ebay seller "rodpartsdealer". Since he didn't list the manufacturer, I was hoping someone here had bought these and would have some specific feedback. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on these in the next week or so. I've got to get moving on rebuilding my rolling chassis.

Read the very last post. Keep in mind these are drag racers that beat on control arms.

Things to consider....
#1. Does it have a brand name associated with it ?? Yes.
#2. Does a regular store front carry it ?? Yes.

So in this case, I'd consider them over other Ebay specials. However, I wouldn't buy them from Ebay.
I'd be sure to buy ANYTHING for the safety of my cars steering from an authorized vendor directly.

Rodpartsdealer sells no name branded stuff which is almost certainly Chinese reverse engineered knockoffs.
The problem with stuff like that is there's no name brand, and you have no idea about quality control.
So when your car flies off the road going 70mph and you have injuries, you have no recourse

....all because you skimped out on just a few hundred bucks with ZERO reputation behind it.

SC&C just resells other vendors parts to the best of my knowledge,
but he did write a very good book on suspension info.

I bought a set of adjustable UCA"s for my 2nd gen from him and they're great,
But I'm pretty sure I overpaid for them based on reputation.

Unhappy

Hi Guy's,
I hope this works as my computer has trouble accesing the site, but I'm working on it.

I went with Global West upper and lower as they were cheaper than Hotckis at the time and the quality was second to none.

Running tall spindals with the correct upper arms, this was a dummy run at the time that why the calipers wrong.

No problem with the arms from rodpartsdealer control arms. Side by side with Hotchkis - can't tell the difference. Greasable ball joints, greasable ball joints, sway bar links included. Made from the same material, solid welds. Thank god for chinese knock offs!!!!
