Is this possible?

I don't even know if its possible but i've yet to find a fab shop that could shave a little off of the inside hub of a pair of rims i have. The rims are 10in wide and stick out about an inch past the fender arch. there is almost 3 inches of space between the tire and the frame(of course this is on the rear). So i'm looking for a shop that could possible shave a little off of the inside hub of my rim so that it will sit inside the wheel well and not stick out. In my opinion i think i have ample enough metal on the back of the hub to shave just an inch off but does any one know of some one who could do this?

You have the wrong BS on the rims........dont try to alter things to much or youll pay a steep price with broke parts,Sell em and get the right ones.......

I do not think your rims will be an 1" thick and if they are you need that thickness for structural purposes. What is the rim make? Crager for something?

Stockton wheels in California can do just about anything to rims. Check them out. You best bet is to find the correct negative backspacing rims of the same kind for the correct fit as stated.

So if your backspacing from drum mounting point to the rim edge is 4" then you will nee to be 4.5 or 5" for the correct fit.

BUT be sure to check the INNER wheel well as you may hit there if you take on too much negative back spacing too.

common practice to mill a little of some wheels but not near an inch. What wheels are they. If they are expensive billet wheels you can have the B/S changed. Cheaper wheels it not worth the $$ spent to do it.

the wheels are budniks billet wheels. I don't think they even make them any more but they came with the car and i couldn't even imagine spending the amount they ask for billets. That could be another motor and then some!

Call Budnik to price a rehoop to correct backspace. Last I checked most companies could do it for 200.00ish a wheel
