1968 A Body Disc Brake Conversion (my next question)
Still working to help out my brother with his 68 Skylark disc brake conversion...
I am looking for good quality aftermarket disc brake spindles to use. Any recommendations? I don't want to risk using anything that may be cheaply made/ unsafe. A couple of places that sell these spindles are Original Parts Group and Helix Suspension. I noticed the Helix Suspension spindles claim to be forged steel. They are also cheaper than the spindles that Original Parts Group sells. ($125 a pair vs. $83 each) Does anyone have experience with Helix Suspension? Do they have a quality product or is it cheap junk? Does anyone know what company makes the spindles that Original Parts Group sells? (I'll probably give them a call and ask when I get the chance) As always...thanks for the help!! It is greatly appreciated.

CPP. They claim that they are forged spindles. I bought my kit through eBay using a 10% off coupon and free shipping, for about $450, if I recall.

Looks like a nice kit. I am curious if stock steering arm modifications will be necessary and if so what you had to do to modify.

ALL front spindles are forged. Speedway motors has the best price on new ones. Alternately, have your drum spindles machined.
