Welcome to our site and I hope you get to drive your car "legally" soon.
7,635 2dr Holiday hardtops were built 27,257 4dr Holiday hardtops were built Yes, both the 2dr and the 4dr were given the name Holiday that year. Standard equipment was: safety-vee steering wheel, turn signals, air scoop brakes, 2 speed electric windshield wipers, safety spectrun speedometer, padded dash, courtesy lamps, wheel trim rings, star-light headliner, chrome rood side mouldings, jet-away hydramatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, electric clock, and deep twist carpeting. Upholstery was fabric, leather or morcceen (vinyl?). Engine was the 394, 9.75:1 cr, 435lbft of tourqe at 2800 rpm, 315 hp at 4800rpm. Options may have been: heater/defroster, deluxe radio, electric antenna, back-up lamps, parking brake light, windshield washer, tri-tone horns, outside rear view mirror, power windows, power seat, dual exhuasts, HD air cleaner/breather. I hope this information helps out.

I like your attitude (or it might be necessity being the mother of invention) about having items rebuilt locally. It sort of irks me when people just want to "buy a new one" instead of having what they already own rebuilt. But, as I said, you might have no other real choice because of your location. I am not familiar with Australia but have heard it is a big, wide, and long country with lots of space in-between. Sort of like USA about 150 years ago.
