Question mystery trunk lock piece '65 98

First off thanks to all who have helped me in my resto so far, this web site truly is one of a kind! OK, car is a '65 98 LS and this is regarding a piece that i'm missing so i dont really know what it is. I'm looking for some kind of clip that connects the bar that twists from the back of the trunk lock cylinder and the bar that twists out from the trunk latch mechanism. The connection allows the latch mechanism to move independently when using the vacuum operated switch without turning the lock cylinder. What is this piece?? I have to start the car to enter the trunk until i find one. Anyone have one for sale? I imagine the piece is common to more than just this 98. Thanks
-Parker

Should be the same for any 65-70 C-body car (98, Electra, Cad) and pretty sure it will be a junkyard piece. It MAY be common to the B cars too, not sure on that.

Since the vacuum power trunk release could be dealer installed, I'd bet it was made to use with existing lock mechanism hardware. So you shouldn't be limited to just power trunk release cars for a part.

Just hope that vacuum cylinder doesn't die on you!
