removing chrome
looking for any help i'm trying to remove the chrome piece on a 68 two door post cutlass i don't want to damage as i'm putting it on anouther car
this is the trim above the rear side windows in the back below the drip rail. any help would be great thanks |

I'm not sure about this specific piece of trim but most had a screw or stud & nut on each end. And then clips in the middle. I know the door trim on my 69 442 has screws on each end & clips in the middle. The vynil top trim on the trunk is similar. So I think you'll need to remove the inside panel and check for fasteners on the inside. Once they are out gentle twisting and light prying should release the clips. Hard to explain, atleast for me.
