upper ball joints
hi, this is a question on how far the ball joint stud should go into the steering knuckle, like there is a 1/4 " space between the knuckle where the stud goes through and the rubber boot on the ball joint it self,i torque,d the nut to 40 lbs, like it says, just enough for the cotter pin to go in, also greased it to see if the rubber filled out ,but it did not,so is it all right ,? or something wrong.really appreciate any help on this, thanks very much .will.
