Body/Chassis Chalk Markings
Can anyone tell me if there is a published resource or even something on the web that can outline some of the general markings that were put on a Oldsmobile Chassis? I've found one chalk mark underneath the hood, and hope to find more as the restoration of my '67 4-4-2 progresses.
Any advice? Any resources out there that would help?? Thanks..

Body Crayon Markings
I don't what they mean either, but if you've not found the following site yet you might check it out. They're focused on the 1967 Cutlass/442 and have a lot of information.

I have seen the oldsmobility website before, I just haven't looked in depth for related information regarding chalk markings and other body/chassis identifying marks that a car would have left the factory with.
I did some digging around on the oldsmobility.com and found that there is a copy of the 1967 Oldsmobile Inspectors manual. I looked at what that is, and from what I can tell there are specific option codes listed for certain equipment. Now what that leaves me wondering is - is this list specifically intended to help someone document a car's options/equipment from a build sheet?? Or would the codes/color designations etc listed in the guide also be a clue for what marks were present on the cars as they left the factory?? So, more research is in order. Thanks for the link.
