Paint Code Info

My '68 442 built in Canada - Oshawa, Ont. has for the trim and paint line the following things printed:

TR 950 2 - 11 -24 ASS TRIM

Can anyone decipher this or tell me where on-line it may be found?? I have all the other build info figured out, this one had a factory tape player U57.

Thanks.

Bud

Are you from canada bud. If not, I can help, GM saves all info on cars built or shipped to canada . I gives you all the options your car came with.I'll try and find the phone number for you. Check 442.com

Thanks PIT

I am in Upstate NY, but the car was bought in Fl. in '98 and it was repainted. It was built in Ca. as were Camaros and F-birds etc.

I know there is an 800 # for GM cars, but that info goes back to '80 only, then its $$$ to someone else to unscramble the alphabet soup. The info is there, its just finding it.

Clever J...... yeah, right! Don't be eatin' your deep dish on the Dan Ryan!

Wink

OK, But they will have the options for your car and what dealer originally sold the car.Mines a 69 and there was no problem. It is $50 though. If you plan on going to shows the GM print out is a nice touch though.

This is a website to get look at the old paint chip sheets. I am not at home to double check this but I believe there is a paint code in our vin# that advises what color the car should be. I used this website several months ago to check the actual color of my '71 Cutlass. I will update this when I'm at home to verify where to get the code, sorry about that.
