Question heater/evaporator box interchange

I am going to a yard near me, to grab another A/C heater box for my 78 cutlass salon. I did locate another 78 like mine, and I also found what appears to be
a 78-80 malibu, with the entire front clip, and engine gone.

what I want to know, is would the box from that malibu fit My 78 cutlass salon?
as this one would be much easier to remove

if not, I will grab the one out of the other car like Mine

My guess would be yes.
It is however, only a guess.

If you have a camera, take a pic, if not draw one. At least you could up your odds of determining if they are similar or the same...

I may go with the one out of the cutlass salon I found, I know it would be the same, as it's a 4 door exactly like Mine

Yeah, why wing it if you don't have to.
May the wind be at your back......
Until you get to it, then it should die down so you don't get cold.

thanks, as it's supposed to be a chilly day here, with 20-25 miles per hour winds

but I have learned this in respect to old car parts: here today, gone tomorrow
so, despite a cold, I better go get it.

mission accomplished! I grabbed the one out of the car with the front clip/engine removed.

it was from a 1978 malibu, and it is an exact match to the one I found in an identical 78 cutlass salon.(this car was hit in the right front fender, right where the heater box was)

$50 later, and it's safely in my suburban, and after a little cleaning, I will re install it...... very carefully

the yard I got it from has lots of antique cars/ parts, and 2 or 3 rows of Oldsmobiles
