I am not sure but I do know that you will need the air cleaner element as well to make it useful. Of course, you will probably need the stock carburetor and manifold too. Don't know if you have gone aftermarket on those or not...

1970 hoods DO NOT interchange with 71-72. The 70 hood is straight across the at the top of the grilles. The 71-72 hoods have cutouts at the leading edge since the grilles are taller and go up into the hood. The core support is similarly different. If you want to run a 71-72 hood, you need to change everthing from the core support forward (grilles, bumper, headlight mounts) to 71-72.
A 70 hood WILL fit on a 69 if you change the latch mechanism.

71-72 hoods are identical and only fit those two years. 70 is unique but can be adapted to a 69 with some work on the latch mechanism. The shape of the front edge of the hood on the 71-72 cars is different from the shape of the 70 (and 69) cars.

Shak, these hoods are very scarce so if you found one you can't use but is a good deal consider picking it up and offering it for sale here
I'm too far away but there maybe someone close enought to pick it up that would buy it from you and give you some more green to work on your car. My 2 cents worth! John
