I have a 72 cutlass convertible that I am restoring. Any advice on what to do with the original (drilled in) body side moldings? I have all the pieces, but the fastening clips are old/worn out. Is it better/easier to just bail on the mechanical fastening type and go with a stick on replacement? Either way what are the best sources for both?

My 72 came with a fairly full complement of moldings- lower chrome rocker panel trim; door edge and body side ; hood and trunk lip;

dmcmahon-I think its a personal thing as far as resale then original will leave you with a better price,but if your gonna keep the car forever and money is tight then stick on,you can always put the original back on later,but then the sticky stuff will cause a paint job,well tough choice.....crank.it
