How to paint chromed plastic trim??
I'm working on some Pace Car parts that are chromed plastic, and need to be painted black. I have NOS chrome parts to work with, but what's the best way to get the paint to stick? Some have said 600 grit sand paper and a primer coat. ANyone know the best way?
Also...where can I get a good black to match? I know Eastwoods sells Chassis Black, and the flat and satin are close, but are these good for plastic? Any ideas? Thanks! - Al |

Go to your favorite paint store and get the new spray paint that was formulated to stick to plastic. It works! Good luck.
edit: I saw some paint made especially for plastic parts that was gold and silver. I hope this works for you. |
