frame questions?

I am new to the world of oldsmobiles. just bought a 72 cutlass s that is wrecked in the front. i am going to just replace the whole frame i need to know if a 1970 cutlass frame is the same

Yes, in fact 1968-72 GM "A" body frames will interchange with minor differences. As long as you stick with 2 door car frame for a 2 door car you'll be fine.
