1950 Transparent Hood NOS
Visiting a friend this past weekend that I usually drop-in on a few times a year and was swapping stories when he mentioned the above item to me.
Evidently these hoods were sent to the dealers to promote the new OHV engine in 49/50. The dealer would remove the stock hood, color match portions of the clear hood (leaving some areas masked) so propsects could look through the hood at the new engine. This hood is still in the crate as delivered to the dealer. Reportedly is has the all the moutning areas for the insignia, hood hinges, and hood ornament. My friend is old-school with no computer and really does business by word of mouth.I'm a Cadillac guy and joined the forum just to post this to see if there was any interest. It is not mine to sell; nor do I profit in any way from the sale of this. I can post his contact info to interested parties. |

You'll get a lot of interest on the Oldsmobile Club of America boards at http://forums.aaca.org/postlist.php?...BB48&PHPSESSID
Rare item. Good luck. C.J.
