Question

We have a 1968 Olds Delta 88, 455 rocket with 26000 original miles. No rust, some small dents, crappy interior. We would like to sell it, but have no idea what to ask. Can you guys help?

Please specify if you are talking U.S. or Canadian dollars. Thank you for your help!

Kitty, I can only tell you that I paid $1700 US for my car four years ago, similar shape by your description. I don't think extras would make much difference unless it was completely decked out with A/C, 8-track (working), 4-speed with a console, 4bbl engine with W-Z manifolds (I am not sure that was an option), etc, etc,. I think you know what I am trying to say. My car was a "Plain vanilla" model with 2bbl engine and AC and that was it. Our Deltas are not nearly as desirable as the cutlass and 442s and H/O cars. Or, the one other factor would be if the car was ULTRA clean, no rust, no tire wear, original spare, mucho documentation, etc.

Good luck with your sale, I hope someone buys it and treats it well.

Dan
