Newbie looking for car and a question

Hey all! Nice to be here. I'm in east central Illinois. I'm looking for a a 1973 Cutlass Supreme. That was my very first car and I never got to drive it (long story)! Anyway, was hoping you fellow Olds enthusiasts could help me along if you see one that is in drivable condition and that's not all rotted away. Contact me on here or at commonman@comcast.net .

During my extensive search for my '73 I noticed something odd with the '77 model Cutlass. Some I have seen have the same dash as the '73-'76 model Cutlass where on the passenger side the dash is rounded and has the round air vents in it. Some I have seen have the flat dash and the rectangular air vents. What's up with that?

A friend of mine has a 73 cutlass v back,350, brown with black guts. PM contact info and I will pass it on if you are interested. I am guessing the round vents come in the air con cars. I have never seen the other style, but both my mid 70's cars had air.

Just noticed the email I will pass it on to him.

Weclome to CO and we hope you find your Cutlass soon and that we can help you do it. Next, I own a '77 and never noticed the difference, could it be the difference between the 442 or Hurst package and the standard Brougham package?

I can't post anywhere but in here yet. So I'm unable to send my contact info via PM, but I'm sure whever moderates this will give me access shortly.

I noticed the dash difference on two different Brougham models. Same color scheme and everything. Just the dashes were different.

WHen you say "V back", are you referring to the great big triangular opera windows? If so that's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for the small opera windows that look like a rectangle on end but canted off center \ \

I know this is late in coming, and apologize. I don't always get to check in on a regular basis and get distracted with kids when home so things sometimes slip through the cracks. It is a 74 that looks like the one in your avatar. I passed on your info, did he ever contact you?

P.S. MTAF
