69 Cutlass S Convertible

Okay, a year ago I would have never believed you if you told me Id be doing this, but I am sick and tired of trying to get this thing finished. What your getting is a #s matching 69 cutlass S Convertible, original 4 bbl, A/C car purchased last December from North Texas. This is as nice a starting point as I could have asked for, as there was minimal metal work to be done and most of it was on the bottom of the front fenders. All stampings (frame, Axles, engine are as legible as the day it was purchase, there is NO heavy rust craters on this car. Here’s what’s been done so Far;

Frame off, Frame checked for trueness, painted with Centari
Underside, Painted with Centari
Chassis, control arms, Axle, cleaned and painted with Centari
New Body Bushings from Fusick
Front end rebuilt Hub to hub with Napa Lifetime Parts
Eibach lowering springs / KYB shocks
Front Disc Brake Conversion
Electronic Ignition upgrade
Professionally Rebuilt mostly stock 350 Bored .030. Heads slightly worked / valve job/ Run in on test stand, never fired in car
Professionally rebuilt Qjet
Gas tank, radiator, Condenser. Refinished
Body Stripped to Bare metal, patched any questionable areas with metal, body work 75% done
Body panel alignment and rebuilt door hinges Done
All engine brackets Core Support and hdwre; Blasted, Painted in Centari
Stainless trim Professionally restored by Bob Mayle
Purchased 15” SSIII wheels that will go with the car, Blasted clean and primed
Convertible top was new when I bought the car
Clean set of original grilles
4000 dollars worth of professional body restoration

What’s not done;
Original Chrome; I have all the pieces, no deep pitting except in the rearview mirror, Its all good driver quality stuff
Interior; Its all there but in fair to poor condition

Extra Parts I have that may go if the offer is right;
OPG Stage 2 weatherstrip kit
Flowmaster Exhaust system
Plugs/wires/coil
5 quarts of DuPont Trophy Blue paint
(4 )245 60 15 dunlop GT Qualifiers
Center console, Cable and Shifter
All new emblems, hood grilles, eyebrow mouldings and abunch of other stuff from Fusick
I have photos of the whole process that I can send to an interested person. There’s things I’m sure I forgot, but feel free to PM me with your contact info and I’ll run you thru it all. This car is Complete and anything not on the car is bagged and tagged. I have a complete list of thing with prices that I have purchased as well as what you’ll need to finish it.

You will not find a more clean and solid example of this model car . It currently sits in bare metal awaiting primer. You will have MNIMAL body prep time as the guys who did the work for me are masters.

I have tons invested in this sucker but I know that’s not your problem. 19,900 takes it all, and I would consider less without the listed “Extra” parts. You couldn’t do what I have done for near this much. Trust me I tried!!!

I'm a big fan of heavy rust craters.
I wish you luck.
Losing the "love" is very common during restoration projects. It's VERY hard to get that much work done and still remain in full gumption mode. Usually motivation and money run out right around the same time.

yeah, I can see running out of motivation when your working on your back.. I often get that feeling, but with a garage like the ones in those pictures, oh the havoc I could raise!!! unless of course there's something waiting in the wings.

Haha, yeah, but once you had the sweet garage and the motivation to wreak full havoc.....Your 8 starving kids would all need braces or some crap probably.
Bobby... get the welder. Jethro.... hold your sister down.
