Testing water--62 f-85
I want to sell my 62 f-85 but have no idea what these things go for. The body is straight with just a couple little minor damages nothing big, it has about 72k on the original 215 v-8 interior is pretty darn good for being a 62 there is nothing wrong with it except a tear on the driver seat and i would replace the rug just bc it was made in 1962 haha has new brakes shoes and the all drums were turned, it starts up and we have drivin it around the block so it starts, moves and stops, it would need a paint job but thats about the biggest thing it would need besides some new tires, nothing wrong with the ones that are on it but im pretty sure they came with the car i can send pics if wanted im just at a total loss at the price i should sell it for.

Where did it get that custom flame paint job?
![]() I have no clue on these cars. $1200 maybe? I wouldn't pay more than that if I had to fix it. But I'm poor.![]()

Maverick, Im not totally sure how to answer your question on price but I just picked up a 62 F85
Cutlass convertible on eBay in Sept 07 for 6500. Have been told its worth much more. Altho it has a few piddly mechanical problems that you would expect for a 46 yr old car it is pretty cherry in and out. Here are photobucket pics. Hopefully you can compare to your condition. I joined here in hopes of finding someone with info on changing over to disc front brakes and dual M.C. for safety sake. 62 F85 as advertised on eBay http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff99/barney13w/62OldsF85-1.jpg http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff99/barney13w/62OldsF85-3.jpg http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff99/barney13w/62OldsF85-4.jpg http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff99/barney13w/62OldsF85-6.jpg as delivered to me on Oct 2 http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff99/barney13w/Delivery1.jpg http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff99/barney13w/Delivery2.jpg Hope this helps you some. Good luck. |

I was looking in a values guide for my 63 a while back
It said low was 5500, ave 8000, high 13500, the 62 was just a tad south of that but I picked mine up for 3800 in condition like yours, and I've seen most 61,62,63 F85's selling for on ave about 4000 to 6000. Its tough because there not a main stream car like the later cutlass's so unless you sell it for a steal its a tough sale. Best of luck |

You know I have seen it before also. I'm in Calif and I think it is near me. Maybe.
You guys are high in price. I was going to say $500 for it looks like it has sat for a long time. I'm sure it does not run and will have to be towed. Those examples that was given are premo cars. Just my thoughts. Gene
