I just finished rebuilding a 330 motor for my 65 Jetstar 88. I bought a remanufacturer carb from Autoline but when I put it on the car I get a vacuum leak.
The gasket between the carb and the plate has two slits that look like it was manufactured that way. Why would they intentially put on a gasket that would cause a vacuum leak. To me it looks like Autoline put the wrong gasket on the carb. Can someone help me out with this? This is very frusturating. It took 3 years to get to this point and all that is left is the carb. Thanks. |
