doing it right the first time
O.K. ... the '69 442 post coupe is finally together, and it's time for the ultimate shine before the appraiser/insurance guy arrives next week. What's the collective wisdom on the best clean and wax for a car repainted 2 years ago [no clear coat], on a car that will only be driven sunny days June -Oct.??As far as I know , it's had nothing done to it in the last 6 months and has been stored inside for the last year. In the past just used a good Carnauba and lottsa elbow grease. Derek

I use McGuires hi tech sealant with a foam pad on my DA annually on my wife's car. Brings the paint right up to show room minus the normal wear and tear two young girls do to a car. other than that use cleaner wax from time to time or final touch for a quick once over. I have had good luck with McGuires over the years. 3M has some outstanding products as well, but availability is slim here.
