98 Olds Bravada lots of hot air
My 98 Olds Bravada only likes to blow hot air. I looked at the post by Cliffg8 sounds just like his problem that he had and looked at the air mix door moving it back and forth but for some reason I don't think the actuator is working. The door just wants to move back to the same postion each and every time. So, is the actuator bad or what controls the actuator bad....? It does blow cold air when the door is moved to a certain position. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Were they vacuum controled in 98?
Do you feel it move when turning the knobs? Sometimes in the cold months I gotta turn the Alero's knobs slow, or the same thing happens

I had someone moving the knob switching back and forth from cold and hot and I watched the air mix door and it would not move on it's own. I can move the door by hand but when I let go it moves back to the same position everytime no matter where the knob it positioned.

If it is vacuum controlled there may be a leak in the control head manifold or in the tube to the door actuator.
